Format: 11" x 8.5", laminated boards, 48 pages.

 A year after producing his collection of drawings of Vaslav Nijinsky, the French artist George Barbier followed it with a similar collection devoted to Nijinsky's great fellow dancer Tamara Karsavina.

12 colour plates showing Karsavina in some of her finest roles are preceded by 17 pages of poems by Jean-Louis Vaudoyer describing her in these roles.

The ballets represented include Sheherazade, Narcisse, Petrrushka, Carnaval, Pavillon d'Armide, Sylphides, Thamar, Daphnis, Jeux, Spectre, and Cleopatra.

Published in 1914 in an edition of only 512 copies the book has never previously been reprinted.
