Published: 2008 In June 2007, to mark the reopening of the Royal Festival Hall in London, The Cholmondeleys, Featherstonehaughs, Colquhouns, Marjoribanks, BabbleBand, 155 dancers and 35 musicians from around the United Kingdom performed Flag 2007. Captured on this DVD is live footage from the day, a wonderful example of a large scale participatory project, and a reconstruction of a timeless Cholmondeleys and Featherstonehaughs classic. The original Flag, performed in 1998, brought the two companies together for the first time in live performance. Exploring the realm of the national cliché, symbol and stereotype, a series of dance sequences linked images of revolution, athletics, flamenco and Scottish lament.
