Disc 1 contains movement material and ideas, practically demonstrated, with teaching tips and guidance on technical performance. Disc 2 contains the dance piece Trapped, choreographed and directed by Rosie Kay, a surreal story of a young girl and her mother caught in a life ruled by routine. One day the mother fails to return home: to find her, the daughter sets off on a journey filled with extreme emotions. An introduction from Ludus' director, Jane Scott Barrett, offers a means to open up discussion with pupils about the work, and the show also demonstrated how some of the ideas from the DVD set can be used in creating a professional performance.
