Published: 2006 Michael Nunn and William Trevitt asked four choreographers at the vanguard of British dance to each create a new work for them: Encore is the result. Accompanied by Oxana Panchenko they take you on a journey that starts with the very beginnings of their classical training, takes in the heritage and tradition of folk dance, pauses to reflect on what it is to be an artist, and finally crashes headlong into the present and beyond. Filmed live at Sadler's Wells and featuring live music with eight musicians playing everything from Bach to Vivaldi, the four works are On Classicism by Will Tuckett, Propeller by Liv Lorent, Jjanke by Charles Linehan, and Mandox Bandox by Rafael Bonachela. |
