The Canterville Ghost. London Children's Ballet.
Published: 2005 Filmed live at the Peacock Theatre in London in 2005, this 80 minute long children's ballet, based on Oscar Wilde's short story, has choreography by David Fielding, a former dancer with Birmingham Royal Ballet, and a specially commissioned score by Artem Vassiliev; the dancers are all aged between 9 and 14. The ballet tells the story of the ghost of Sir Simon Canterville, who has haunted the ancestral home since the 16th century. But when some Americans, who are not afraid of ghosts, buy the house, the poor ghost's life is turned upside down. [Uncoded, playable world-wide on PAL compatible equipment.] |
