In the first, Violette Verdy discusses her career working with George Balanchine at New York City Ballet, and coaches dancers from the Paris Opera Ballet in some of the works Balanchine and Jerome Robbins created for her. The dancers include Isabelle Guérin, Nicolas Leriche, Elisabeth Maurin, Cyril Pierre, and Elisabeth Platel, with guest appearances by Margaret Illman, Lucia Lacarra, and Vladimir Malakhov. Among the ballets coached are Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, Liebeslieder Walzer, Sonatine, Emeralds, Dances at a Gathering, and In the Night. In the second documentary, Monique Loudières discusses her career at the Paris Opera Ballet with the dancers and choreographers she has worked with, including Cyril Atanassof, Yvette Chauviré, Patrick Dupond, Jiri Kylian, Manuel Legris, Vladimir Vasiliev, Violette Verdy, and Jerome Robbins.
