The 1848 volume offers a historical-philosophical analysis of the art of dance; the 1855 volume deals mainly with technical reflections on dance notation; and the 1861 volume presents Bournonville's didactic and pedagogical reflections. The texts are translated into English, French, and Italian, and there are detailed accompanying notes in each language by Knud Arne Jürgensen and Francesca Falcone. |
