Published: 2002 Performances from 1961 - 1967: The Nureyev items are Flower Festival pas de deux with Maria Tallchief; Le Corsaire pas de deux with Lupe Serrano; Diana and Actaeon pas de deux and the Black Swan pas de deux, both with Svetlana Beriosova. The Bruhn performances are of the Don Quixote pas de deux with Maria Tallchief; the Black Swan and Coppelia pas de deux with Sonia Arova; the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet (Bruhn's own choreography) and the pas de deux from La Sylphide, both with Carla Fracci. All the selections are in colour except the Nureyev Black Swan pas de deux and a brief section of the Bruhn La Sylphide. Some allowance has to be made for picture quality, but the recordings are of enormous historical interest and importance. [Coded for world wide use]. |
