The Horoscope excerpts are Dance for the Followers of Leo, Saraband for the Followers of Virgo, Valse for the Gemini, Bacchanale, Invocation to the Moon and Finale. Ashton arranged various different versions of Façade over the years: this version is of the standard concert suite, consisting of Fanfare, Scotch Rhapsody, Valse, Tango Pasodoble, Swiss Yodelling Song, Country Dance, Polka, Noche espanola, Popular Song, Old Sir Faulk and Tarantella-Sevillana. The Checkmate excerpts are Prologue: The Players, Dance of the Four Knights, Entry of the Black Queen, The Red Knight's Mazurka, Ceremony of the Red Bishops and Finale: Checkmate. |
