Songs of the Wanderers. Cloud Gate Theatre of Taiwan. Published: 2001 A dance piece inspired by the numerous religious practices which can be found on the vast Asian continent, especially in India - the native country of both Hindusim and Buddhism - which the choreographer Lin Hwain-min has visited in his travels. In his search for a common denominator among many different religions, he came to the conclusion that all of them are essentially a quest for tranquility, and his choreographic language attempts to reflect this. [Coded for regions 2 and 5: the UK and Europe, Japan, the Middle East, Egypt, Greenland, Africa and South Africa, Russia, Eastern Europe, India, Africa, North Korea, and Mongolia.] |
